Obasanjo Is A Liar, Ahmadu Ali Is Still A Member of PDP – PDP Chairman

The Chairman of People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Niger State, Mr Tanko Beji, has debunked the claims by former President Olusegun Obasanjo that Senator Ahmadu Ali, a one-time national chairman of the party had left the PDP.
Beji insists that “Ahmadu Ali is still in the PDP. He is participating in all our activities. He has not left us he has no plans to leave us.”
In an interview with newsmen in his office in Minna, the state capital, Beji said that Ali had been contributing positively to resolving the crisis within the party.
Describing Obasanjo as an elder statesman who has served the country meritoriously, Beji said that, “we should allow him time to have his deserved rest.”
Last weekend, Obasanjo had said that during his 80th birthday that the PDP sank after Sen Ahmadu Ali and himself quit the party.
Beji, however, admitted that the party was going through hard times saying, “what is happening is confusion everywhere, personal interests have taken over general interests, this must be jettisoned for the crisis to be resolved.”
He said the incumbent APC-led government is the first enemy of the party stressing that “APC has moles in our party, they are our major problem”.
According to him there was no way the party would come out as one after the Supreme Court judgement, one party must feel aggrieved while the other will only be happy with half of the team thereby justifying the need for political solution to the crisis and optimistically concluded that “PDP will come out stronger from this crisis.”
