“…f*ck that international shit..,” Davido reiterates shunning international deals

Davido thinks delving into the international market is a waste of time, and the ‘IF’ singer is screaming this from the rooftops.

In a new rant posted on his SnapChat, Davido, who previously collaborated with Meek Mill on a song, had this to say this morning; “I say it again: fuck that international shit. That’s how I feel. You see how I said  ‘I’? Na home pay pass!

And the OBO continued, bragging about how much he has in his account, even though he is currently embroiled in legal drama for issuing a dud cheque to a car dealer. “My account is so heavy, e dey leak,” he added.

Since Davido returned to Nigeria and announced that he will no longer chase greener deals and pastures abroad, many of his fans have wondered what went wrong during his stay in Atlanta.

Recall that Davido became the first of his generation of singers to land a Sony Music deal which earned him a whopping $1million.

Davido was told that he can’t go global with Pidgin and Yoruba by Sony Music executives. Skelewu was played at half time in La Liga in 2014.

Speaking with housemates at the just-concluded #BBNaija, Davido corroborated the claims, saying he told the Sony execs to ‘fuck off’.

You know that last year I signed the DEAL and the deal held me. They no wan make I drop music wey I know how to make. They were dictating to me how they wanted me to make music,” he said, adding, “But in December I switch am for them say omo, fuck off mehn, I’m doing what I have to do and I went back to local.

He continued, “The money wey I don make, from January till now e don pass the money wey I see last year.

Last Sunday, the singer performed at Aliko Dangote’s 60th birthday and now, he is bragging once again on social media about his bank account.

However, there is one huge question he is yet to address: has he ended his deal with Sony?

We guess he’ll keep spilling his mind in piecemeal.
