CAF announces Youssef Essrayri as referee for Nigeria vs South Africa game

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has announced Tunisian referee, Youssef Essrayri, to officiate the AFCON 2019 qualifying match between Nigeria’s Super Eagles and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa in Uyo.

Essrayri, will be assisted by compatriots Yamen Melloulchi (Assistant Referee 1), Hassen Abdelali (Assistant Referee 2) and Said Mohamed Kordi (Fourth Official).

The match commissioner is Andy Quamie from Liberia and Kotey Alexander Neequaye from Ghana will be referee assessor.

The encounter at the Akwa Ibom stadium, Uyo on Saturday, on June 10 is a qualifying game ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations to be hosted in Cameroon  in 2019, with only the group winners guaranteed slots at the finals.

Libya and Seychelles are the other group members.

Nigeria has failed to qualify for the last two editions of the AFCON and they are keen to stage a comeback in Cameroon next year.
