Read Why This Pastor Was Sent To Prison

A pastor has been sent to prison to serve out a term, after being found out to have committed a really grievous crime.
One Emmanuel Akinmoladun has been remanded in prison custody for allegedly being involved in fraudulent practices.
He was jailed by an Ondo Chief Magistrates’ court sitting in Ondo town, Ondo State.
According to Punch Metro, Akinmoladun, who is said to be a founder of a church in the community was charged to court for allegedly defrauding one Mr. Babatunde Adepeko of the sum of N2,620,000.00 in2013.
The accused person was arraigned in court on a three-count of fraud,  illegal conversion and false declaration.
The prosecutor, Inspector Olagbayi Bernard, who read the charge sheet to the accused person said Akinmoladun purposely defrauded the complainant under guise of selling two plots of land to him. He added that the accused person allegedly collected N2,620,000.00 from the complainant disappeared thereafter.
The prosecutor added that the Akinmoladun sometime in 2016 at the Ondo State  High Court in the Ondo judicial division swore an oath of affidavit of agreement claiming to be the owner of the two plots of land he sold to the complainant. The prosecutor said the oath of affidavit was false.
Bernard stated that the offence was contrary to  and punishable under section 419, 383, and 106 of the criminal code, cap 137 volume1 laws of Ondo State of Nigeria 2006.
The accused person however pleaded not guilty to all the charges when they were read to him.
The prosecutor prayed  the court to grant him short adjournment to enable him study the case file and assemble all his witnesses to prosecute the case.
In his ruling, the presiding Chief Magistrate, Mr Gbenga Awodeyi, adjourned the case to July 26, 2017 for further hearing  and ordered the accused person to be remanded in prison custody.
