FG Announces N1m Gift For Each D’Tigress Player Over FEC Meeting

Following his return from UK for medical treatment, President Muhammadu Buhari has had his first FEC meeting in nearly four months.
President Muhammadu Buhari today (Wednesday) presided over the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting at the Presidential Villa, Abuja – his first FEC meeting since he proceeded on medical vacation in the United Kingdom on May 7th.
He put off the meeting last week to allow him receive the investigative report from Vice President Yemi Osinbajo on the suspended Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Babachir David Lawal and the Director General of the National Intelligence Agency, Ayo Oke.
Buhari’s first assignment at FEC, which started around 11.a.m on Wednesday, was to receive the victorious Nigeria’s national basketball team, DTigeress. The President announced N1 million gift for each of the female basketball players.
The team won the 2017 FIBA Women’s AfroBasket tournament in Mali and also qualify for the 2018 FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup slated for Spain.
