Tears As NYSC Batch B Corps Member Slumps, Dies | Photos

A member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) who was serving at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital, has slumped and died.
A corpse member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) identified as Kenechukwu Ejike Kennedy, who suddenly slumped and died on September 12, was on Wednesday morning, taken to his hometown Enugu, from University of Maiduguri Teaching Hospital mortuary Borno State.
It was gathered that the deceased Corps member, until his death, was serving at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Maiduguri.
 
In a tribute, Tijani Mohammed Lamin, a Clinical Psychologist at the Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Maiduguri, described his death as “a great shock”.
“I don’t know where to begin my tribute to a man of honor, integrity, hard work, patience, forbearance, empathy, love and sacrifice. But start I must, and these few adjectives have lessened my agony.
 
“Kennedy was a batch B youth corper serving in my department here at Federal Neuro-Psychiatric Hospital Maiduguri. His sudden death about ten days ago came to me as great shock having being with him for almost a year now.
 
“His death has left an indelible positive mark not just in my heart, but indeed on the hearts of all those who  through their line of work at our hospital that have come in contact with him.
 
 
“As I wind down this eulogy to great and promising young man, I say this to his loving family: take heart, Kennedy may have been gone physically, but he is forever with us in spirit, for the spirit is everlasting.
“Adieu to a friend.”
