The Association of Dance Scholars and Practitioners of Nigeria will, between October 3 and 6, hold its fifth national conference at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife.
Themed ‘Dance As Therapy For National Security And Economic Stability’, the three-day event is organised in collaboration with the Osun State Ministry of Culture and Tourism and OAU.
According to a statement signed by the spokesperson of the Association, Prof. Jeleel Ojuade, the conference will feature paper presentations, workshops and round table discussions.
“Osun State Governor, Ogbeni. Rauf Aregbesola, will be guest of honour, while the Osun State Special Adviser to the governor on Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Taiwo Oluga, will be special guest. Others are keynote speaker, Prof. Bakare Ojo Rasaki; lead paper presenter, Prof. Tor Lorapu and chief host, Prof. Eyitayo Ogungbenro,” Ojuade adds.
