Young Nation unveils Madu

Young Nation Ltd, a management company founded by Kamal Ajiboye, Nelson Ononiwu and prolific media personality, Olisa Adibua, together with Heritage Live Entertainment, owned by the astute entrepreneur, Prince Kenneth Obalum have unveiled a budding artiste, Madu Vincent Chike. Speaking at the unveil which took place last Thursday in Lagos, Olisa Adibua, expressed a firm belief that the artiste, who simply goes by the stage name, Madu, is one people would connect with.

“Madu is a gifted young man. His journey so far has been good but now we are taking it to a whole new level. We believe that the connection between Young Nation and Heritage Live Entertainment is the catalyst that will propel Madu to the next level,” Adibua said.

An indigene of Anambra state, he started his music career in 2010. Back then, he was known as Rexy Brown. The artiste reveals that his passion for music was so intense that he suspended his academics just to learn the intricacies of Nigeria’s music terrain.

The unveil also served as an opportunity to release his first official single titled ‘Kampe’.

Speaking about the track, Madu states that there was a lot of inspiration behind the song.

“There are a couple of languages in the song Yoruba, Efik and Pidgin English. It is my first official single. I have other songs recorded already, but I decided to release this. ‘Kampe’ is a fusion of Afro pop and RnB. It is a love song dedicated to all the beautiful women out there. It urges them to be comfortable with the way they are,” he said.

Although, mainly self-taught, Madu is highly skilled in the production and mixing of music. He also plays different music instruments.
