I’m not bothered about backlash on my nun costume –Juliet Ibrahim

Popular Ghanaian actress, Juliet Ibrahim, kicked up a social media storm recently when she dressed up as a Catholic nun to an event. Many felt her action was an affront to real nuns, and that she disrespected them by dressing like one to an event.

In a chat with Sunday Scoop, Ibrahim expressed her views about the umbrage her outfit caused. “This is not the first time that people would be saying all sorts of things. And I believe everybody is entitled to their opinions. Right now, I’m in Ghana and everything is going on smoothly. The Juliet Ibrahim Foundation has an annual Halloween costume charity event, and every year, we wear different costumes. I don’t think there is anything wrong with that,” she said.

Shedding more light on the activities of her foundation, she said, “It has been running for seven years now and we have been able to touch a lot of lives along the way.”
