Kim Kardashian, Rihanna and other celebrities join the campaign to free Cyntoia Brown jailed for killing man who used her

In 2004, 16-year-old Cyntoia Brown was sentenced to life in prison for killing a man who bought her for sex. Now 29, she’s still in prison but social media has brought her story to the limelight and people have began a campaign to have her freed.

Celebrities like Rihanna and Kim Kardashian have now lent their voice to the campaign to have her freed.

Brown, from Nashville,was kidnapped and forced into child sex slavery by a pedophile ring. She was forced to shoot one of her clients before escaping from the human trafficking network, but she was arrested by police for the murder of the 43-year-old pedophile and tried in court as an adult.

She was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison.

She will be eligible for parole at some point after her 69th birthday but celebrities are fighting to have her freed as soon as possible. She has already spent 13 years in prison.

Rihanna’s post on the matter read in part: “To each of you responsible for this child’s sentence I hope to God you don’t have children.”

Kim K on her part disclosed that she has called her attorneys to see what can be done to help free Cyntoia.

Since being in prison, Cyntoia has graduated from Lipscomb University with an Associates Degree. She’s now working on her Bachelors while working side by side with the courts and the Juvenile Justice system as an unpaid consultant.
