Man Steals Employees Car In Lagos Nabbed In Kogi | Photo

A young man who had the nerve to make away with a car in Lagos State has found himself in trouble with the law in Kogi.

According to a The Nation report, nemesis may have caught up with a Lagos private driver, Shaibu Ali Adejoh (29), who allegedly made away with a Toyata (muscle) Camry 2008 model, belonging to his employer, as he was arrested by the police in Kogi State.
The suspect, who allegedly stole the car from the employer in Lagos, was arrested in Ashigili, Dekina Local Government of Kogi State, by men of the State Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), while trying to fend the blue coloured vehicle with registration number Lagos KRD 412 EX.
The suspect who was on a monthly salary of N45,000, perfected the plan to make away with the car, haven confirmed that the owner, one Mrs Mary Musa will be away from the country in overseas travel.
Luck however ran out on him, when the chief of his community notified security operatives of his suspicious manners, and unbelievable system wealth.
Parading the suspect alongside 15 others, the Kogi State Police Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Williams Aya, an Assistant Superintendent of Police  (ASP), warned that the onslaught against criminal activities in the state was in full swing.
Adejoh however said that his intention was not to steal the vehicle, but to travel with it to visit his sick father.
He said that he had taken his employer out on an outing on Awolowo Road in Lagos, the night before making away with her vehicle, adding that he did so knowing that “she was going to travel”.
The madam as it turned out did not travel out and all efforts to reach out to Adejoh who has by now made away with her car prices abortive until his arrest in faraway Kogi State.
According to the PPRO: “On the 8th of November, 2017 operatives attached to SARS led by the Commanding Officer, DSP Babagana Bukar on a tip-off that one Shaibu Ali Adejoh was seen with the exhibit while approaching the people in the community to enable him dispose the car. The operatives promptly swing into action, arrested the suspect and recovered the exhibit. Investigation revealed that the suspect stole the car from his madam in Lagos. The owner confirmed that the car was stolen
The suspect confessed to the crime and will soon be arraigned in court on completion of investigation”.
Others paraded by the police included suspected armed robbers, kidnappers and cultists, while items recovered included the Toyota vehicle, munitions, mask, a plasma TV set, charm and cash.
