The Ekiti Police Command have arrested at least 20 persons over a violent protest which was carried out by some youths in Aiyegbaju Ekiti, a major town in Oye Local Government Area of Ekiti state between Saturday and Sunday.
Trouble began on Saturday when news filtered that a young indigene of the town identified as Samson Omowunmi had died in a mysterious circumstance.
It was learnt that the deceased and another indigene had been fighting over a parcel of land before his sudden death.
A resident, who spoke under anonymity said Omowunmi suddenly developed a strange sickness during the week and had to be rushed to an undisclosed hospital where he later died on Saturday evening.
