There seems to be stalemate in Zimbabwe as the ruling party ZANU-PF denies the coup-de-tat as carried out by the country’s Army.
In a statement issued by the party leadership, claims of a coup were refuted saying that there was only an intervention due to the undermining of the constitution.

ZANU PF has a way of solving our own problems, the situation is stable and Zimbabwe is open for business. There was no coup, but a bloodless peaceful transition- the centre is strong and there is peace with honest leadership.

With the above, there may be serious standoff in the country as there maybe clash between the political party and the army. Other factions are also of the view that the takeover was supported by the Mnagngawa faction of ZANU-PF, thus installing him as the new president of Zimbabwe.
