Lagos is incomplete without entertainment, says Olamide

Sunday, December 17 will be a day to remember as the fourth edition of ‘Olamide Live in Concert’ (OLIC) held sway at the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere, Lagos.

Convened by YBNL Boss, Olamide Adedeji, simply known as Olamide, the concert brought together the best of Nigerians who thrilled Lagosians to good music.

Among those who mounted the stage at the show were Small Doctor, Tiwa Savage, Phyno, Reminiscence, Lil Kesh, Woli Arole, Yomi SARS, Daddy Showkey, Olu Maintain, Klever J, Solid Star, Terry G and host of others.

Speaking at the show, Olamide disclosed that the story about the strength of Lagos is incomplete without entertainment and that the State government under His Excellency, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode has been an inspiration to the success of the industry in Nigeria in just over two years.

Olamide stated that the Lagos State Governor has been an apostle of creativity and ingenuity adding that many music artists were able to find their feet in the industry because of the ambience of positivity created over the years by the state government.

OLIC4 was attended by over 15,000 teeming audience of diverse social groups and age grade.

Artists present at the concert did not hide their admiration for the State government, attributing the success of the music concert and the prominence the entertainment business enjoys in recent years to the strategic initiatives of Lagos State government.

The show was a rhapsody of funfair and entertainment as music enthusiasts and fun seekers across the country and beyond were thrilled with spectacular music of different genres.

The concert was attended by personalities from all strata of the society which include, Mrs Aramide Giwanson, Special Adviser to the Governor on Arts and Culture, Mr Rotimi Ogunleye, Commissioner for Commerce Industry and Cooperative, Dr Olufemi Onanuga, Special Adviser, Primary Health Care, Mrs Yetunde Onabule, Special Adviser, Urban Development, Mr Deji Tinubu, Special Adviser, Sports Commission.

Also in attendance was Mr Fola Adeyemi, Permanent Secretary Ministry of Tourism, Arts and Culture and Mr Habib Haruna, the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Lagos State.
