“Self-love is the best type of love”. This is what i hear a million and one people say on a daily basis.  But isn’t this just a selfish way? As far as I’m concerned, self love is one of the ways you can shut yourself out of the world and be chilling inside your own little bubble. That little bubble where nobody else matters, you’re the only important person in the world. Yes, many have a thousand and one reasons why you wanna be that way. It could be because of hurt and betrayals and what have yous. But still, you need to look at the big picture! what if it was you on the other side of the picture? Living that life eventually ends up hurting us and those we love that are around us even without knowing. And we’re so caught up in ourselves that we’re blind those that are hurting around us.

Amazingly, you may assume that their hurt doesn’t affect you but when others are hurting, their hurt finds a way of seeping into you especially our loved ones. As hard as it may be, don’t dwell on your past hurts, disappointments and pains cause it will seep into the lives of others. Instead, give love to as many people that need it. Being selfish with your love is self destructive and you unconsciously become bitter, saucy and sad. Shift the focus away from yourself and give all that love in your heart away, you’ll be amazed how much happier you’ll become.Think about it; if Jesus practiced self love, we will not be here today. Even God the Father wouldn’t have bothered to create us anyway (After all, He is God). So, for the self-lovers; no matter the hurt and pain, remember that Jesus did much more (Read John 3 vs. 16).

After all, an infamous quote says; love isn’t love till you give it away. Have a love filled week guys!
