What Nigerian artistes should avoid abroad – Lankusa

Sweden-based Nigerian-born Artiste, Olayinka Olanrewaju has called on Nigerian artistes to be more professional in their conducts during musical tours in the Western world.

Olarenwaju, popularly known by stage name Lankusa, gave this advice in a recent telephone conversion with our correspondent.

According to him, it is a thing of pride to see Nigerian artistes taking on the world music by fire.

“However, it is now imperative for them to be more professional in their conducts and step up their games rather than allowing the fame to negatively affect their professional career.

“In recent times, the best of the night out in any R&B, Hip-hop nights clubs across Europe always are jamming of Nigerian tracks all night,” the Sweden-based artiste noted.

He further noted that Nigerian music and artistes are gradually helping in reshaping and rebranding the country’s image across the globe.
Lankusa, therefore, calls on the Federal Government of Nigeria to capitalize on this tourism opportunity to encourage Nigerian artiste and the international promoter such as Alex Ozone and others.

His words: “As the Nigerian music is already gaining traction across the globe, all Nigerian established stakeholders in the industry in Diaspora must try to support and encourage the upcoming Nigerian-Europe based artiste by taking a queue from DJLV of Scandinavia approach of support.”

Lankusa, who is known in Scandinavia for his flexible original Ibile Afro hip-hop with popular singles titled Yataa and Halleluya will be performing alongside Olamide Badoo in Firenze, Italy early next month.
