According to New Straits Times Press, a 49-year-old man has died after suffering from a heart attack minutes before crashing into a stalled car near Desa Rahmat Industrial Area of Malaysia today.
The man, whose identity was still unknown, was believed to have lost control of his Volvo car while driving along the busy stretch in the 8am incident.
Johor Baru North police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Taib Ahmad said police believed the man was trying to bring his car into the emergency lane but had rear ended the parked car.
“Passers-by tried to get to the man but the doors were locked from the inside. The victim appeared to be unconscious at the time.
“Firemen from Johor Baru Fire and Rescue Department were called in and assisted in getting the man out of his vehicle,” he said.
Paramedics at the scene confirmed that the victim had died of a heart attack.
His remains has been taken to the Sultanah Aminah Hospital for post mortem.
