‘I Have left Mavin Records But They Remain My Family For Life’- Iyanya Confirms Split From Don Jazzy’s Label

In 2016, Iyanya signed a record deal with Mavin Records after he parted ways with Made Men Music Group which he co-owned with Ubi Franklin, leading fans to anticipate a wave of new music and a resurgence of the man that made Kukere a national anthem. At Mavin, he announced his arrival with Don Jazzy and Dr Sid on Up2Something.

One year later, the relationship has been severed as the Oreo singer, after months of denial announced his departure from Mavin Records in an interview with BEAT Fm this morning.

‘I’m a Mavin for life but I’m now signed to Temple Music,’ he said.

NET had reported late last year that since joining Mavin Records, Iyanya has successfully released the Signature EP; an eight-track tape which made very little impact and he has also embarked on a European tour that ended in October.
