A pair of friends diving into a hole were amazed to find an underwater cave

A video has shown the moment a pair of young men dived into what appeared to be a puddle – to find something astounding.

In the remarkable footage, the first man is seen leaping into the small pool of water.

He disappears for several seconds before surfacing again several metres further away.

The cameraman then jumps in to find out just what had happened to his pal.

It immediately becomes clear that the puddle is in fact a blowhole – an entrance to an underwater cave that leads out onto the sea.

The video shows the man swimming several feet below the surface in a narrow cavern.

After a few seconds, he re-emerges some five metres from the hole he had dived into.

More than 570,000 people have seen the clip since it was posted to Facebook on Tuesday (January 30).

“Not for me, I don’t like breaking my bones,” one viewer wrote.

Another added: “That legit just looked like a puddle.”

While a third said: “Yikes, those lads a brave.”
