Horror: How Truck Assistant Killed Driver He Worked With, Disappeared With Consignment

The Oyo State Police Command said a 32-year-old motorboy was nabbed in connection with the death of a truck driver and the disappearance of his consignment, said to be sugar, Punch Metro reports.

The suspect, Oluwaseun Olayiwola, was accused of killing the driver of a truck he worked with at Ogere trailer park after which he stole the truck and dumped the corpse at Isara area of Ogun State.

While parading Olayiwola and other suspects at the command headquarters in Eleyele, Ibadan, Commissioner of Police in the state, Abiodun Odude, said the suspect was arrested by detectives at the Egbeda division of the command on March 15.

“The suspect killed his master at Ogere trailer park in Ogun State and dumped his corpse along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

“After killing his master who was the truck driver, he took charge of the truck which was filled with bags of sugar and diverted it to Ibadan. It was meant to be delivered in Benin, Edo State. He kept the bags of sugar in some shops in Ibadan

“Upon his arrest, the suspect confessed to the crime and thereafter led detectives to Isara area of Ogun State where the decomposed body of the driver was recovered.

“He also led them to Ibefun in Ikorodu area where the truck was recovered. He has been handed over to the Ogun State Police Command for further investigation and prosecution.”
