Viral Video Reveals Shocking Moment A Female Parachutist Fell 50ft To Death After Mid-Air Collision

 A female tourist died after her parachute crashed with another in a horrifying accident caught on camera in Mexico.

Beach-goers saw the woman plunge around 50ft to the sand after her canopy hit the other parachutist as they both tried to land.

Video shows the victim, named as Ursula Hernandez, 47, sailing across from the right before the crash causes her parachute to collapse.

The tourist from the capital Mexico City, was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.

The other parachutist, also on holiday, was also treated for her injuries but these are not described as serious.

Journalist Juan Perez was among those who witnessed Sunday’s horror accident and he posted footage on social media.

He said: “Just before the Easter Holidays , one person has died and another has been injured in an accident in Puerto Escondido.

“I’m sure no one will be held to account. No one regulates these types of services.”

Local reports said the parachutists had hired their equipment from a company which made them sign a document absolving them of any blame in the event of an accident.

Puerto Escondido has become known as one of the world’s best surf destinations.

The port town and resort on Mexico’s Pacific coast in the state of Oaxaca and is popular with Mexicans, expats and travellers from all the world.
