It came as a rude shock to many, when it was learned that only 28 children in Zamfara state registered for the National Common Entrance exam. The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu made this known recently in Abuja.
In a statement released by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Education, Mrs. Priscillia Ihuoma, it was found out that only three states had the highest number of pupils registered so far are: Lagos with 24,465 candidates, the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, with 7,699 and Rivers State with 4,810 candidates respectively.
On the other hand, three states with extreme low registration are: Zamfara with only 28 candidates, Kebbi, 50 and Taraba, 95 candidates respectively.”

I find it very weird that only 28 candidates would register for Common Entrance exams in Zamfara. The population of Zamfara is about 4,000,000. I don’t understand this at all.

A whole State has only 28 registered children for the National Common Entrance exam. Interestingly, this same State has millions of people (including children) who are on the electoral roll and who have PVCs.
Priorities.

Zamfara state has only 28 candidates registered for common entrance, just 28 for an entire state, since they do not want education the only choice left would be terrorism….. the root of our problems in Nigeria are not far fetched.
