Handsome 22-Year-Old Nigerian Boxer Fights For His Life After Being Shot In London (Photos)

New video has emerged of a semi-pro boxer writhing in agony after he was blasted in the face in a suspected gang shooting in South London.

Oluwafemi Omosuyi, also known as Femi, had just returned from training in Dublin when he was gunned down outside Oliver Goldsmith Primary in Peckham.

Footage showed horrified witnesses as they rushed to try and help Omosuyi who was covered in blood.

They could be heard urging the badly injured man to stay awake as they desperately tried to stem the blood pouring from his wounds as he lay on the ground.

Devastated mum Stella Aladetan, 53 said she was “praying” for his swift recovery following the horror attack while he was sitting in his friend’s blue Ford Focus.

Stella last saw Femi on Saturday afternoon before he left his home with two friends.

She claims her son was stabbed last year by two lads who had been targeting him for months.

And she believes it was the same group that attacked her son on Saturday.

She added: “These two boys have had issues with my son. They stabbed him last year.

“I want them found and arrested for what they’ve done.”

Promising boxer Femi, who trained at the All Stars Boxing Gym in West London, had just returned from a month long training camp in Dublin.

Stella added: “He loved boxing. He wanted to be professional. He would train twice a week, and every Saturday.

“His coach told him to stay home and out of trouble.”

Police imposed emergency stop and search powers in the area as they combed it for evidence. Both victims were taken to central London hospitals.

Omosuyi remains in a critical condition, while a second victim, a 25-year-old man, suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Detectives are investigating the shooting, which unfolded on Wodehouse Avenue in South East London just before 8pm on Saturday.

A Met Police spokesperson said: “Officers, including armed police, attended and found two men aged 22 and 25 suffering gun shot injuries.

“Both males were taken by London Ambulance Service to central London hospitals where the 22-year-old man’s condition remains critical.

“There have been no arrests. Enquiries continue.”

It was the latest weekend of bloodshed on London’s streets last night, with police also called to a stabbing in South East London.

A man, believed to be in his 40s, suffered multiple stab wounds in Claremont Street, Greenwich, just before 7pm on Saturday.

He was taken to a South London hospital for treatment. Police confirmed they had found the man badly injured, with London Ambulance Service also called to the scene.

In a statement, police said: “The injured man – believed to be aged in his forties – was taken by LAS to a south London hospital.

“A crime scene is in place. No arrests have been made. Enquiries continue. “

The victim’s current condition is unknown. Police also launched an attempted murder investigation after a 22-year-old man was found suffering from multiple stab wounds in Shadwell on Friday.

One man, aged 23, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and taken to an east London police station for questioning. Enquiries are ongoing.

DC Megan Bushell from Tower Hamlets CID said:“We have made one arrest and continue to build a picture the attack which unfolded.

“I would appeal to anyone who saw a confrontation in the area before the attack and anyone who witnessed people running from the scene after the stabbing to come forward.

“Your information could prove vital to our investigation.”

Police were called to Creek Road, Greenwich – just yards away from Saturday’s stabbing incident – after a man was found collapsed near a Sainsbury’s shortly after 8pm on Thursday.
