The multiple banks’ robberies that took place in Offa, Kwara State recently as a new interesting twist to it,  as the Nigerian Police Force, NPF, invited the President of the Senate, Dr Bunkola Saraki for questioning on Sunday.

In Abuja on Sunday, the Force Public Relations Officer, ACP Jimoh Moshood while addressing newsmen said this became necessary as the arrested leaders of the gang had indicted both the Senate President and the Kwara State Governor Abdufatai Ahmed in the course of the ongoing investigation into the matter.

Moshood said that the suspects made confessional statements to their interrogators that they were political thugs to both the President of the Senate and the Kwara State Governor and confessed to the killings of several souls in previous operations.

Moshood  added that already the Chief of Staff to the Kwara State governor has been arrested and detained over the incident while the operational Lexus Jeep used by the gang leader on the day of the of the incident was traced to Kwara State Government House in Ilorin and recovered as an exhibit.
