Former Watford striker, Odion Ighlo, has been included in the squad expected to face Seychelles at the African Cup of Nation’s Qualifier on September 7th in Victoria.
The super Eagles head coach said the striker who plies his trade in the China league is part of his plans. He added that he is looking forward to seeing him in camp next week before jetting out of the country to face their opponent.
Ighalo, who faced series of criticism for missing begging chances for Nigeria at the just concluded FIFA world cup in Russia seems to have the trust of his Coach, Gernot Rohr.
See the reasons he gave for inviting him below:
He said Ighalo deserves another opportunity to make amends.
He also added that Ighalo still has a role to play in his formation to secure the maximum 3 point.
Rohr submitted by saying, “He has been scoring in China and he is very motivated to do so for the Super Eagles now.”
