Nigerian senator Dino Melaye has cried again on social media. Mr Melaye,  who said he escaped assailants last month and hid atop a tree for hours,  to avoid being set ablaze has accused the Nigerian police of trying to frame him up.

According to Melaye,  the police is working with his state government to frame him up for culpable homicide and illegal possession of firearms.

The Lawmaker from Kogi state further alleged that the they want to forcefully take him to Lokoja and kill him there afterwards.

Melaye,  who says he was headed to court in Lokoja from Abuja last July, when he was almost abducted by unknown assailants. The lawmaker said he escaped by divine intervention as he spent hours in the ‘wilderness’.
