Real Madri started the new season with the reality that their talisman Cristiano Ronaldo and enigmatic coach Zinedine Zidane have both left them. All attentions turned to Gareth Bale and he didn’t fail to impress as he laid an assist and also got on the score sheet.

Although they lost to Atlectico Madrid in the UEFA Supercup final, they looked assured and kept things tidy in the encounter with Getafe.

Bale seems  ready to step out of Ronaldo’s shadow as he was visibly  everywhere on the pitch dictating play and almost got an early reward, when his headed effort crashed against the cross bar.

We are loving this new Bale and hope he can continue with his early form when they visit Girona in their next match.
