Here’s why power elite oppose Buhari – Festus Keyamo

Director-general of president Muhammadu Buhari’s reelection campaign, Festus Keyamo(SAN) has reacted to claims by some groups that it would be against the law for Buhari to accept the N45m nomination form gift by a support group.

According to Keyamo, some “mischievous persons are reading S. 91(9) of the Electoral Act upside down.” Keyamo says it was a wrong assertion as ‘the section limits CASH (not material) donations in respect of CANDIDATES to N1m.’

The human rights lawyer stated also that ”PMB is not a CANDIDATE. He’s an aspiring ASPIRANT. He becomes an ASPIRANT only when he submits his Forms to his Party.”

Writing via twitter on Friday, Keyamo said that many people opposing Buhari, do it not for the good of the masses but for their personal selfish interests.

He wrote :
