The leaders of the countries in Africa are currently in China for the 2018 Beijing Summit of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation
#FOCA2018. The Photo above was taken at the opening ceremony today at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, the People’s Republic of China.
President Muhammadu Buhari, his wife, Aisha posed for the photo with the president of China, Xi Jinping and his wife alongside other African presidents and their wives.
Meanwhile, economic experts worry over the fact that the whole of Africa is in China to ‘beg’ for loan. Their worry, they say is because Chinese aid ‘have ensured that most African countries will refuse to undertake key reforms.’
Twitter user identified as @andrewfootie said ‘Building generating stations for African countries without forcing them to undertake power reforms for example won’t solve the power crisis.’
