Senate president Bukola Saraki also a 2019 presidential hopeful has said that the continued abduction of aid workers and the school girl, Leah Sharibu by Boko Haram insurgents must stop.

This comes shortly after news broke that a ICRC aide worker, Saifura Hussaini Ahmed, who has been held hostage by the terrorists was killed. The terrorist also threatened to harm Leah, who was abducted alongside her schoolmates in February from Dapchi.

Speaking via twitter on Tuesday, the Senate president wrote:

Saraki also called on the military to do all in their power to ensure that lives of aid workers are secure while urging them to rescue Leah Sharibu.

He wrote :

I call on our brave servicemen and women on the frontlines to do all that they can to protect the aid workers on the ground and employ every God-given resource that is available to us to rescue Leah Sharibu and the abducted ICRC humanitarian workers.
