UEFA Nations League: 7 Things Wales Coach, Ryan Giggs, Said After Their Win Against Ireland

Former Manchester United winger, Ryan Giggs, got off to a winning start with his first competitive match for the Wales National side. He became the Wales National team coach recently after they parted ways with their former coach.

Giggs who holds the appearance record for the Wales side as a player was praised by their fans all through the match. They kept on chanting his name as the game got off till till the last mintes.

The Wales side trashed their opponents, Republic of Ireland, 4-1 and the ecstatic coach, Giggs, who was visibly happy had the following to say after the match:

“The lads were magnificent, some brilliant goals and great football. I can’t be much happier,”

‘The bad news is you have to keep to that standard,'” he added.

When you drop below those standards, you’re letting me down and you’re letting yourselves down.

“It’s not easy because there were some really good performances and, as a team, they performed well.

“But you have to keep getting better. You’ve got to keep improving.

There are loads of things we could have done better.

We’ll work on that over the next few days.”
