Nigerian children tortured, abandoned by families have protected my son – Danish aid worker Anja Ringgren Loven

Danish aid worker, Anja Ringgren Loven, took to Facebook to recount how her son has been protected and loved by Nigerian children tortured, abandoned by their families she has been taking care of.

According to Anja Ringgren Loven, her son has been carried by literally all these Nigerian children.

She wrote;

“Since David Jr. ( my son ) was born he has been carried, literally, through life by all the children.

Children who once were tortured and abandonned by their own families, have protected and loved David Jr. unconditional ?”

However the post led to an interesting conversation between the aid worker and follower, who alleged that same love isn’t portrayed by Nigerian leaders.

On her own part, Anja Ringgren Loven stated that Nigerian leaders need to change their selfish games before celebrating independence.

Anja Ringgren Loven and her team, recently rescued three kids from death over allegations of witchcraft in Akwa Ibom.

The children, Ringgren Loven said, were about to be killed after being blamed for the death of their parents.

Her post reads in part;

Today DINNødhjælp/ACAEDF Director and Leader David together with our Education Officer Bassey and Child Development Officer Orok saved the lives of these 3 beautiful children.

It’s been a very emotional day. We wanted to bring 4 children to safety at “Land of Hope” but one child was killed even before the team left our center 💔😪

But now I’m just so happy that David and our team were able to save: Idara, a 7 year old young girl accused of killing her father.

Nsidibe, 6 year old boy and his brother, Ezekiel, 5 years old. Accused of killing their mother.

Superstition is NOT an African thing. From the late 15th century to the late 18th century a wave of persecution washed across parts of Europe. Tens of thousands of people were executed for witchcraft.
