Sokoto state deputy governor Ahmed Aliyu has won the APC primaries  for 2019 governorship election in the state.

Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, the present governor had dumped APC for the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP with hopes of clinching the party’s  presidential ticket.

Aliyu who polled 2,282 votes said the state was getting close to where it belongs following the primaries.

In his words :

“The just concluded APC primaries has opened a new chapter in our struggle to bring our dear state where it belongs.”

“I want to assure all our teeming populace that if elected, we will consolidate on the achievement and success recorded by Senator Aliyu Wamakko administration in the state.”
