NFF President, Amaju Pinnick, To Super Falcons: Win AWCON On Saturday And Get This Reward

The Super falcons of Nigeria would battle it out with the Bayana Bayana of South Africa on Saturday in the final of the ongoing Total African Women cup of nations in Accra.

The defending champions, Super Falcon, are looking to make it their third successive trophy in the competition and their 9th overall on Saturday.

Their only lost in this campaign was at the hands of their Saturday’s opponents when they were beaten by a lone goal in their first match of the competition.

In order to boost their morale going into the match, the NFF has promised them 10 000 dollars each, if they emerge victorious from the contest.

This was made known by the NFF president, Amaju Pinnick, when he visited the players and officials of the Super Falcons at the AH hotel, Accra, today.

In his own word below:

“Go out there and win on Saturday and earn yourselves $10,000 each, as against the $5,000 that the NFF earlier promised,” Pinnick told the team.

“I want to let you know that the Government and the good and great people of Nigeria are happy with your performance in the championship so far.

“They are looking forward to you retaining the trophy by beating South Africa on Saturday.

“Let me commend the lofty commitment, dedication and resilience that you have displayed so far in the championship, alongside that unique Nigerian spirit that was most in evidence against the Cameroonians in the semi final.

“You are indeed true champions, and we believe you will retain the Cup on Saturday.”
