‘Thank you for everything’ – social media reacts to the passing of Marvel co-creator, Stan Lee.

Comic-book genius, Stan Lee, Artchitect of the contemporary comic book has died. He was 95. The legendary comic author died at Cedars Sinai Center in Los Angeles on Monday after a Medical emergency. Earlier this year, Lee revealed to the public that he had been battling pneumonia, and in February was rushed to the hospital for worsening conditions around the same time.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

X-men, Blank Panther, hulk and Spider-man were some of the Stan Lee creations that went on to become blockbusters. Chairman of Walt Disney Company, Bob Iger,  called Lee “ a superhero in his own right” in a statement. “The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart” he said.

 

Over the years, Stan was widely recognized for his remarkable accomplishments, receiving the National Medal Arts and being inducted into the Will Esner Award Hall of Fame. Stan Lee leaves behind one of the most influential careers in pop culture history. Disney Marvel Studios, which created a cinematic universe based on Lee’s creations, has had 20 straight No. 1 openings at the box office.
