Paris Saint Germain teenage sensation, Kyllian Mbappe, has denied a statement credicted to him by a Spanish newspaper, BarcaTimes, over the weekend.
BarcaTimes had credited the Word cup winner as saying he would be better than the five times ballon d’or winner in the next 3 or 4 years. However, Mbappe who finished ahead of the Argentina International in the recent ballon d’or award has denied making any of such statement.
What BarcaTimes credited him with:
“Messi is a very exceptional player, but I still think if I continue to work hard, I can be better than him in 3 or 4 years. Of course I respect him very much, he is a great player
Mbappé who has already scored more goals in the domestic league(12) this season than Messi(11) then took to his twitter handle in the early hours of today to debunk such statement.
What he said:
I never said that.
Messi have all my respect and my admiration 👍🏽
