Ivory Coast Footballer, Yaya ‘Gnégnéri’ Toure, has left Olympiacos due to the immediate termination of his contract. Yaya made just five appearances in three months at the Greek club.
In what was his second spell at Olympiacos, the 35-year-old made just three starts after his summer move from English Premier League Champions, Manchester City. The former city player bid farewell to his teammates on Tuesday. Meanwhile, the Greek club have released an official statement on their website, confirming Yaya’s departure.
“Olympiacos FC and Yaya Toure would like to announce to the fans that they have mutually agreed to end their cooperation. Yaya is and remains an important member of the Olympiacos family, who has marked a central part of the history of the club. Olympiacos would like to thank him for everything he has offered to the club”
