The federal government of Nigeria have approved N27,000 as the new minimum wage across the country. This approval was made at the ongoing council of states meeting at the Aso presidential villa.
Following the approval, the federal government have also through Dr Chris Ngige, Minister of Labour and Employment, revealed its plan to up the said amount to 30,000 for its workers..
A new minimum wage bill is expected to be sent to the National Assembly at the end of the meeting.
