The Nigeria Labour Congress embarked on a nationwide protest on Tuesday for failure of President Muhammadu Buhari to transmit the new minimum wage.
Senator Shehu Sank, representing Kaduna Central joined the protesting workers in Abuja, after a meeting they were suppose to hold with the Federal Government in Abuja on Monday, failed to hold.
According to NLC President Ayuba Wabba on Tuesday, workers are no longer able to meet their basic needs because only pittance go to them, while the bulk go to the political class.
Speaking via Twitter on Tuesday. Senator Sani wrote:
Earlier today, I joined the Nigeria Labour Congress on a peaceful protest in support of the New Minimum wage.
