It’s the first day of 2019,  another interesting and important year in the history of Nigeria, as the elections  to decide a new set of leaders will take place this year.

Political actors in the country, spent the better part of last year preparing for the 2019 elections and the year has finally come.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has  released the timetable for the elections as follows: 16th February 2019 for Presidential and National Assembly elections.

The electoral body via a tweet on New year day, also wrote that 2nd, March 2019 will be for Governorship and State Assembly/Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Council elections.
