The All Progressives Congress has regained a slight lead in the governorship election in the state. Out of the 14 local governments announced so far, the APC won in 9 with slight margin while PDP won in the remaining 5 local governments.

Bauchi State has 20 local governments.

Information Nigeria earlier reported that the Governor of Bauchi State, Muhammad Abubakar lost to the PDP candidate at his polling unit.
