Some Nigerians have urged that President Muhammadu Buhari, should not be blamed for the widespread violence that marred the March 23rd, supplementary polls in Kano state.
According to this group of Nigerians, the President should be rather hailed for his neutrality in the electoral process and if anyone should be incumbent governor, Abdullahi Ganduje or former governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso.
This follows reports of widespread violence, disruption, intimidation, mass rigging and ballot snatching that characterized the election. Although the police in Kano have denied reports that the supplementary polls in the state were marred by thuggery and disruption.
Meanwhile, there are others who believe that Buhari, can’t be isolated from the happenings of Kano rerun, as he is very aware and that it happened under his watch.

Don’t drag Buhari into what it is happening in Kano. He has nothing to do with it. Blame Kwankwaso and Ganduje. Let’s not be hypocritical pls

Those who believe otherwise
I’m Buharist, but based on real time updates, what is going on in Kano today is not election. It’s a broad daylight rape on democracy and thuggery under your watch sir @MBuhari
