‘The saddest thing to happen this year is a pastor congratulating El-Rufai on his re-election’ – Omokri

Governor Nasir El- Rufai was declared the winner of March 9, governorship contest in Kaduna state on Monday by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.

The governor as expected was all joy upon clinching his return to the seat he has held for 4 years to go another four years.

However, Reno Omokri, a former presidential aide has faulted a certain pastor who “found time to congratulate” El-Rufai on his reelection but was mute about the mass killings that occurred in Kajuru LGA in the state today.

The former presidential aide though didn’t name the pastor went on to accuse the governor of inciting the people of the state into the killings with his ‘rhetorics’.

He wrote:

One of the saddest things I witnessed this year is a pastor who found time today to congratulate El-Rufai on his ‘re-election’ yet had no time to condole with the many people killed in Kajuru LGA today, of which many people blame El-Rufai’s rhetoric as the spark for the killings.
