Chelsea head coach, Maurizio Sarri, has shared that he left the duo of N’golo Kante and Eden Hazard, Chelsea most important players this season, on the bench because he is not convinced that the duo can play 70 matches in a season.

He made this known during his post-match conference after the Blues forced a scrappy win at Cardiff today.

In his own word:

I don’t think Kante and Hazard can play 70 matches in a season and that is why they didn’t start. ‘There is a moment in every season when you need to rest. It is very important to have them in a very good physical condition for the last seven league matches’
