$1Billion Loan from the World Bank for power: Thread with caution Senator Sani advises FG

Senator Shehu Sani has advised the Federal government to take caution in its plan to borrow $1Billion Loan from the World Bank for power. The Kaduna Central lawmaker said this on Monday via his Twitter account.

According to the lawmaker, the country was yet to redeem its ” counterpart funding for some of the Chinese Loan we took and other loan applications are still on the process”, and has decided to go borrowing because of power.

He suggests that the ” Private sector in power should source the Billion.”

The FG plan to take $1Billion Loan from the World Bank for power must be threaded with caution.We are yet to redeem our counterpart funding for some of the Chinese Loan we took & other loan applications are still on process.The Private sector in power should source the Billion.
