Reform police to rebuild already battered image – Melaye on indiscriminate shootings

Reform police to rebuild already battered image - Melaye

A former All Progressives Congress, APC senator, Dino Melaye has urged the Nigerian government to reform the Police force especially the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS now.

The lawmaker who dumped the ruling party for the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP after some unresolved internal issues in 2018 said this while reacting to the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old girl in Ajegunle, Lagos on Sunday morning.

Melaye says the reform will help rebuild the already battered image of the Nigerian police and end the indiscriminate killings of Nigerians.

There is no better time to reform the police especially SARS than now. The IGP must redeem the battered image of the Force. It is becoming unbecoming. The Lives of Nigerians should be precious to all. Enough of indiscriminate Killings.
