Borno state governor, Kashim Shettima, is of the opinion that Borno which has been under attack by Boko Haram terrorists in the last 10 years is very safe for business.
Shettima revealed that the state is now safer than other states like Sokoto, Zamfara, Katsina and Abuja the Federal Capital Territory, FCT.
The governor made this known while receiving the Chairman House Committee on Army, Rima Shawulu at the Government House, Maiduguri.
Shettima stated that the military and other security agencies in the state are doing their very best to ensure the safety of everyone. He added that the issue they have is the inadequate publicity this is given in the media.
Shettima continued saying if it were killings many would see it on the front pages of top newspapers but when the military is actually doing their job and keeping everyone safe, the media hardly reports this.
The governor then went on to state that Borno is safer than other states like Abuja, Zamfara, Katsina, Sokoto as there are no cases of kidnapping, banditry in the state, unlike others.
