The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has named the University of Ilorin (UniIlorin), the most Preferred higher institution by candidates in the 2019 admission exercise.

 Jamb Registrar, Is-haq Oloyede passed this information on Thursday 23rd of May at the National Tertiary Admission’s Performance Merit Award 2018 he said the award was to encourage institutions for their outstanding performance in the previous year
He disclosed that each of the winners would take home an approved sum of N25 million as appreciation token and a sign of encouragement to other institutions.
 He also disclosed that a total of 86,401 candidates applied to Unilorin making it the most preferred higher institution in Nigeria 2019 admission exercise.
Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has a total of 74,635 applied candidates and University of Benin (Uniben) came third with 70,322 students who applied for the admission exercise.
