Nigerians react as Kano assembly passes bill yo whittle down Emir Sanusi's powers

Nigerians have taken to Twitter to react after reports broke that the Kano state assembly has passed a bill to reduce the powers of Emir Lamido Sanusi.

The bill which will establish four emirates in the state passed first reading on Tuesday, second and subsequent passing into law on Wednesday.

Nigerians have expressed their disappointment at Governor Umar Ganduje for taking his revenge on the monarch because he didn’t support his second term bid.

  1. Peace unto u viewers. My view on the creation of 4 emirates in Kano State, is a grate mistake. Because, is for the intrest of politics not for the inttrest of the people of Kano State. By doing this, It will not cause peace but it will only cause trouble and misuderstanding in the state between the Poor people. I will also use this opportunity to advice Ganduje, no body will suffer this action but himself. Because, I believe, he (Ganduje) will live Governor office oneday and someone will come and restore Sunusi power.
