Ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo has lamented about the state of insecurity in the country. The former military head of state stated that the security operatives confronting insurgency in the battlefields are not adequately motivated.
He made this known during the second session of the seventh synod of the Anglican Communion in Isoko, Delta state today.
In His own words:
“Intelligence was poor and governments embarked on games of denials while paying ransoms which strengthened the insurgents and yet governments denied payment of ransoms.
“Today, the security issue has gone beyond the wit and capacity of the Nigerian government or even West African governments,”
